A hard week of work for Eric Bellion and Sam Goodchild who are maintaining a good pace at the end of the third day of the Transat. 12th overall, 13th according to the tracker of the Transat, Stand as One is holding the tiller tight against MACSF and Virbac with an average speed of 14-15 knots.
The conditions are difficult: the boat rocks and the humidity is difficult to bear, one of the two hydro-generators of the boat broke but the morale remains high. The rest of the evening will be welcome. Whilst Sam manages to find some sleep, Eric is struggling.
But the time to rest will be short-lived. Tomorrow from 6pm, they will be heading for a new depression while passing the Azores. These should be in the sillage of the boat within 48 hours, hopefully giving a new lull to our skippers who really need it.
For those wishing to cheer on Eric and Sam, an afterwork is planned tomorrow evening in Paris at the Géneral, 17 avenue de Wagram from 7:00pm. Eric and Sam will be virtually present via a telephone session. You are welcome to join us!
